Question:
Would I be a candidate for stem cell clinical trials?
I have Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy and my ejection fraction is currently at 45%. Would I be a candidate for the stem cell test trial research?

Dear Jeannie,
Patients with Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy are not being enrolled in stem cell trials at this time. Only patients with ischemic cardiomyopathy (that have had heart attacks or stents/bypass surgery). Hope that helps.
