Congratulations to our biorepository team for completing the College of American Pathologists (CAP) biorepository reaccreditation.  The Institute’s first accreditation was awarded in 2015 and today it remains the first and only biorepository in the state of Texas to earn the designation.

The THI Biorepository team is a part of our Regenerative Medicine Research department. The team provides biobanking and standardized patient sample processing, profiling and storage services to academic and independent research institutions within the U.S. and Canada.  The Institite’s biorepository is home to the Cardiovascular Cell Therapy Research Network (CCTRN) and Cardiothoracic Surgical Trials Network’s (CTSN) Biorepository and Cell Profiling Core, which is funded by the NIH National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute.
