Register Screening Time 

The Elnita McClain Women’s Center is hosting an annual screening event during the Annual Community Baby Shower to promote pre and post natal care and education to prevent infant and maternal mortality. All pregnant moms will be eligible to receive a gift package from the Elinta McClain Women’s Center

The health screenings will include education for the community on heart disease risk factors. preeclampsia, eclampsia, and gestational diabetes.

In partnership with WomenHeart, this Biometric Screening will help women establish a wellness baseline in just 20 minutes or less!

The screening includes:

• Blood Pressure
• Height, Weight and Waist Circumference
• Finger-stick Blood Test
  • Total Cholesterol (TC), LDL Cholesterol, HDL Cholesterol, TC/HDL Ratio, Triglycerides, Glucose
• Health Education

Once you arrive, you will check in and complete a consent form to participate.

For the most accurate results, fasting for at least 9-12 hours is recommended.  Fasting means no food or drink with the exception of water.  We do encourage you to hydrate yourself with water prior to your appointment and continue to take any prescribed medications.
