Pumpkin Carving Contest – Deep in the Heart of Texas

PUMPKIN CARVING CONTEST – DEEP IN THE HEART OF TEXAS

The Texas Heart Institute and The Texas Heart Institute Center for Cardiovascular Care will be hosting our annual employee Pumpkin Carving Contest on Monday, October 23rd from 11:30 AM – 1:30 PM in the THI Ansary Atrium. Please join us for an afternoon of pumpkin carving, activities, and light refreshments!

Pumpkin carving contest entries will be on display for all staff to enjoy! A panel of judges will select the top 3 entries which will be awarded gift card prizes. All THI and THI CCC staff are also invited to come by and vote for their favorite pumpkin.

CONTEST GUIDELINES

• To enter the contest, each team/participant must email Diana Romero at dromero@texasheart.org by Wednesday, October 18th.
• The pumpkin MUST be carved; it cannot solely be decorated.
• The carving must relate to the theme: Deep in the Heart of Texas. (ie: your favorite Texan food, animal, native flowers or plants, sports team, TV show, movie…)
• Entries must be completed and set up in the THI Ansary Atrium by 11:00 AM on Monday, October 23rd.
• Winners will be determined by a panel of judges based on originality, creativity, style, and overall appearance. Winners will be announced at 1:00 PM.
• 1st and 2nd place popular vote winners will receive an additional $50 gift card.
