Is it safe to have EECP treatment with regurgitation in the mitral, tricuspid and pulmonic valves?

EECP (Enhanced External Counterpulsation Therapy) has been used with conflicting results for the treatment of ischemic heart disease. Patients who may also have significant valve disease would have to be evaluated on an individual basis and may not benefit from diastolic augmentation and reduced cardiac afterload in the presence of increased venous return.
