Celebrate American Heart Month 2023 with The Texas Heart Institute

Every February the whole country focuses on the heart for American Heart Month. It’s a great time to connect with the community and talk about our favorite topic: heart health. We also take some time in February to renew our commitment to sharing and exchanging knowledge with doctors who work every day to improve the heart health of their communities.

Our mission touches on so many lives around the globe, yet our hearts are firmly in Texas. Nearly 16 million people in the US have coronary heart disease, and about 1,128,000 of those are in Texas. Coronary heart disease is the most prevalent form of heart disease and can often be prevented with lifestyle habits. We challenge everyone to move more, eat healthier, get quality sleep, reduce stress, and quit nicotine.

We hope you will take some time to celebrate and learn with us this February, wherever you are.
