Cardiogenic Shock Phenotyping for the Identification of Cardiac Recovery Biomarkers

To define the incidence of hemodynamic and functional myocardial recovery in an unbiased patient population treated with Acute Mechanical Circulatory Support (AMCS) for cardiogenic shock.

Eligibility Requirements

1. Age > 18 years.

2. Requiring left-sided, right-sided, or biventricular support AMCS (Impella, ECMO, Tandem Heart and/or IABP) with cardiogenic shock as indication.

3. Patients with diagnosis of cardiogenic shock but do not need left-sided, right-sided, or biventricular support AMCS.

4. For patients in control group (non-AMI (acute myocardial infarction)/non-shock), indication for elective left heart or right heart catheterization with no diagnosis of cardiogenic shock.
