Texas Heart Institute’s Aryn Knight, BS, CCRP, continues to strengthen clinical research in the Texas Medical Center (TMC) and beyond through her deep commitment to education and training for research professionals.

As chairperson of the Education and Training Committee at TMC, Knight has worked closely with representatives from the TMC’s 60+ member institutions to streamline research, education, and training processes and broaden access to clinical educational opportunities.  The committee established METS, the TMC Clinical Research Monthly Education Training Series, in collaboration with the Society of Clinical Research Associates (SOCRA).  After transitioning to a virtual training format in response to the Covid-19 pandemic, Knight and her team have leveraged this approach to reach a nationwide audience of researchers.  This work was recently highlighted by TMC Innovation.

Knight serves as Administrative Director of THI’s Center for Clinical Research, which supports the Institute’s clinical cardiovascular research activities, and as an elected member of the SOCRA National Board of Directors.  She has more than 20 years of experience in clinical research.
