Welcoming New Cardiovascular Disease Fellows on Match Day 2024
The Texas Heart Institute Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship at Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center is pleased to welcome six outstanding young physicians to its esteemed training program. The fellowship Class of 2028 was chosen from over 980 applicants through a rigorous selection process.
The prestigious three-year general cardiology fellowship, started in 1965, is currently led by Drs. Stephanie Coulter and Jorge Escobar and supported by experienced faculty from Baylor St. Luke’s and across the Texas Medical Center.
From the very beginning of their experience at THI, fellows engage in hands-on patient care using the latest cardiovascular care approaches and technologies. Upon completion of their fellowship, these highly skilled physicians will enter cardiology practice or extend their training through one of The Institute’s subspecialty fellowships in clinical cardiac electrophysiology, interventional cardiology, or advanced heart failure and transplant cardiology.
The doctors will join the THI team on July 1, 2025.
